Weiss was picked up by patrolling officers who found him and three others outside a closed business complex in Oroville, Calif. After talking with the others in his group, authorities determined that Weiss was high on drugs. The Heavy Weights star was held behind bars for a few hours until he sobered up and was released without charges. It’s unclear what he was supposedly on and no blood sample was ordered. Amused officers said Weiss was “witty” while in custody.
However, Weiss’s mug shot isn’t a laughing matter. The actor appears disheveled and thin, looking much older than 38. His condition has concerned fans on social media.
Weiss has been arrested on drug charges before, including meth possession one year ago. That incident came five days after he completed a jail sentence for petty theft. Weiss was sentenced to 150 days after allegedly stealing $150 worth of merchandise from Fry’s Electronics, but ultimately served only 12 due to overcrowding.
Yahoo Entertainment reached out to Weiss’s manager, but did not immediately receive a response.
