Meghan Markle's wedding dress sleeves 'didn't fit' and made her 'look too straight', says Escada designer

Designer Emilia Wickstead felt the need to issue a grovelling clarification after she dared to criticise Meghan Markle's wedding dress, but she's not the only fashionista to have her reservations.

Megha Mittal, boss of the Escada label, tells me the Givenchy bridal gown needed some more tailoring.

'It was nice — simple, clean and minimal — but the sleeves didn't fit,' Megha says at a party at the Kensington mansion bought by her Indian steel tycoon father, Lakshmi Mittal.

'At the top, it made her look too straight.'

Wary of causing offence, Megha is keen to emphasise that the new Duchess of Sussex still looked beautiful: 'She was a radiant bride and I hope all good things go their way.'

Is Jagger's ex Noor up to her old tricks?

Still strutting his stuff on stage at 74, is Sir Mick Jagger just as virile after his concerts?

His 22-year-old ex Noor Alfallah cheekily shared a snap on social media on Tuesday of her lying in bed wearing only a bathrobe. The striking Kuwaiti-American heiress was reading a British newspaper and appeared to be in this country, possibly at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, where the Stones performed that evening.

'School's out,' enthused Noor, a film student in California.

American ballerina Melanie Hamrick, 31, with whom Jagger enjoys an 'open relationship', attended a Stones show in Coventry last weekend with their 18-month-old son, Deveraux.

In April, Noor posted a snap, inset, of her and Jagger snuggling up next to bandmate Ronnie Wood and his wife Sally. 'Good times. See you soon,' Sally told her. It was swiftly followed by a post from Hamrick of Mick on the beach with Deveraux on his shoulders.

The singer, who is also a great-grandfather, later admitted: 'On the last tour [2017] I did make one or two mistakes. I got a bit over-exuberant on the after-show front.'

That woman is criminal lawyer Stephanie Mendoros, 32, who has been courting the 38-year-old Adonis for two years.

Dolce & Gabbana mannequin Gandy, who has amassed a £12 million fortune, previously went out with pop singer Mollie King and Les Miserables star Samantha Barks. Stephanie has already moved into Gandy's home in Fulham, West London, and friends suggest marriage will soon follow.

Food critic William Sitwell is to serve up another baby at the age of 48.

A judge on MasterChef: The Professionals, Sitwell is looking forward to his new wife Emily Lopes, 31, giving birth to their first child.

'Emily's five months pregnant,' he reveals at the Boisdale Life Awards.

'She's been having a tough time with sickness — it's similar to what Kate Middleton had — but we are very excited.'

He adds: 'We don't want to know beforehand whether it's a boy or a girl.'

The journalist, who is great-nephew of the avant garde poet Dame Edith Sitwell, married sports PR Emily, daughter of late Devonshire racehorse breeder the 3rd Lord Roborough, last December.

She was once tipped as an ideal partner for Prince Harry.

Sitwell has two teenage children from his 17-year marriage to Laura McCorquodale.
