John Bolton to Replace H.R. McMaster as National Security Adviser

National security adviser H.R. McMaster will resign, The New York Timesreports, and he will be replaced by John Bolton. Bolton is a Fox News analyst and a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. McMaster’s departure comes a week after Trump fired his secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, and it comes ahead of a potential summit between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. “After thirty-four years of service to our nation, I am requesting retirement from the U.S. Army effective this summer after which I will leave public service,” McMaster said in a statement.
