The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a son.
Kensington Palace tweeted the news shortly after 1pm, stating that the child was delivered safely at 1101hrs, weighing 8lbs 7oz.
The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.
The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry have been notified and are said to be “delighted.”
There’s no news on the baby’s name yet, however Prince Arthur is the bookies favour

Prince William was at the Duchess' side as she safely delivered this son. No name has been announced yet.
This morning, the world woke to the news that the Duchess had gone into labour and been admitted to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.
A tweet from the the Palace’s official Twitter account stated: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labour.
“The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.”
It’s understood that the Duchess was admitted to hospital just before 6am.
Kate also gave birth to George, on 22 July 2013 and Charlotte, on 2 May, 2015, at the London hospital.
